About Mary Fisher Counselling
Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy

I have always been interested in people, how their lives work and how they react and perceive different situations. It always amazes me how people strive to be the best they can in difficult circumstances.
As a result, this led me to obtain a BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy www.bacp.co.uk and work within their ethical framework.
I have worked with clients that suffer from:
- anxiety
- stress
- suicidal thoughts to attempted suicide
- self-harm
- bullying
- anger management
- coping skills
- behavioural issues
- life transitions
- low self-esteem and confidence
- work difficulties
- relationship problems
- abuse
- trauma
- loss, just to name a few issues
I believe it is important you are comfortable that we are able to work together, therefore, I offer a free of charge “introductory” initial session (usually around 20-30 minutes), which enables us to meet and discuss what you would like to achieve from your counselling. I offer short or long-term counselling for young people and adults. You may find as you travel through your counselling journey that you do not need regular sessions, therefore, I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
